Immigration Journey is developed and operated by Selles Labs LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we," "our," or "the app"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application.
We do NOT collect any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, Social Security Number, immigration status details, or any personally identifiable information (PII).
A receipt number can reveal case status information about someone else, such as a family member you are petitioning for. If you track a case on behalf of another person, you are responsible for having their permission to do so and for handling anything you see about them responsibly.
Analytics and crash data are de-identified and aggregated wherever possible, meaning they are not tied back to a specific person. We use this de-identified data only to understand app usage, fix bugs, and improve features, and we do not attempt to re-identify it.
Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage statistics and Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting.
View Firebase Privacy PolicyWe fetch case status directly from the official USCIS website (egov.uscis.gov).
View USCIS Privacy PolicyDisplays advertisements and may collect device and usage information for ad targeting (if ads are enabled).
View Google Privacy PolicyWe do not permit Firebase, AdMob, or any other third party to use or disclose information they collect through the App beyond what this Privacy Policy describes, without your active consent. Any third party we work with is required to handle your information consistently with the commitments in this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information for money or any other valuable consideration, to anyone, at any time. This applies to all users, regardless of where you live. Beyond the anonymous analytics and optional advertising described above, we do not monetize user data in any other way.
Sharing anonymous analytics and crash data helps us find bugs faster and build features that match how people actually use the app. Firebase and AdMob operate outside our direct control. Their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies (linked above), in addition to ours. If you turn off analytics or ads, the App still works, but we may have less visibility into crashes affecting your device.
The App does not use accounts, so there is no "dormant account" data sitting on our servers. All case data lives on your device, so it stays there for as long as the App remains installed and you keep that data.
Immigration Journey is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information:
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a security breach affecting your information, we will notify you without unreasonable delay. We'll use an in-app notification and, if we have a way to reach you, email. Our notice will describe what happened, what information was involved, and steps you can take to protect yourself, such as monitoring your accounts or updating related passwords.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
To exercise these rights, you can delete your data directly from the app.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under GDPR:
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control and can exercise these rights directly through the app.
If you are using the app from outside the United States:
We may disclose information if required by law or in response to:
If Immigration Journey is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of some or all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Because your case data stays on your device rather than on our servers, most of what you've entered would not transfer at all. If any server-side data, such as analytics, were to transfer, we would require the new owner to honor this Privacy Policy. Otherwise, we will notify you so you can delete your data before the transfer takes effect. We will also notify you directly if there is a change in who owns or operates Immigration Journey.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For minor or clarifying changes, we will:
Material changes are different — for example, new data types collected, new third parties, or a change in whether we sell or share data. For these, we will show you a plain-language summary of what changed and ask for your active consent, such as a tap-to-accept prompt, before the change takes effect. If you do not consent, you can keep using the App under the prior policy until you update it, or stop using the App.
Immigration Journey is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or any U.S. government agency. This app is an independent tool that uses publicly available USCIS data. It does not provide legal advice or guarantee the accuracy of case status information.
